This soft and resilient non-asbestos packing is saturated throughout with petrolatum and graphite to offer added sealability. PACKMASTER #3 is particularly suitable for older equipment with worn bearings or scored shafts. This style is commonly used for distillation units, cooling water systems, diesel and lubricating oils where low to medium pressures are encountered. Can also be found in use for hot and cold water, very mild acids and alkalis, and steam for low pressure valves, rotary, centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and low pressure static seals.
